Here are some home remedies one can do to help alleviate the uncomfortable intense dull achy pain one would want to free themselves from. Simply using heat and cold compressions no more than 20 min per time. This will help the muscle spasm release while lowering inflammation.  If the back spasms are more severe the next step would be stretching/yoga. Try sitting on the floor with legs crossed. Try to lean over towards the floor holding this position for 30 seconds. Repeat this 5 more times. If this doesn’t help and you have a home tens unit, then try applying a tens unit on the non-stop setting. Do not do this longer than 30 minutes per session.
