Amniotic Cell Therapy works with the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Unlike treatments that simply address the symptoms, Amniotic Cell Therapy actually promotes repair of the body, restoring degenerated tissue. Amniotic Cell Therapy also contains hyaluronan, which eases pain and restores mobility by lubricating joints and tendons. This therapy fits well with Exodus Health Center’s integrated approach to wellness, addressing the source of issues, rather than just treating the symptoms.

What is Amniotic Cell Therapy?

Since amniotic derived regenerative cell therapy is not derived from embryonic stem cells or fetal tissue, there are no ethical issues with the treatment.

The regenerative cell therapy consists of an injection directly into the painful area. The therapy has the potential to actually alter the course of the condition and not simply mask the pain. This therapy has significant potential for those in pain, and could actually repair structural problems while treating pain and inflammation simultaneously.

How does Amniotic Cell Therapy work?

These types of cells are already present in your body, and are young “pre-programmed” cells. When these cells are placed into an area of your body that needs help healing, the cells start to mature into cells that can help repair the injury and damage of that area. Amniotic Cell Therapy makes use of these cells to reduce inflammation for quick pain relief, and then works to start repairing the desired area.

When the amniotic cell material is obtained, it comes from consenting donors who have undergone elective c-sections. The fluid is processed at an FDA regulated lab, and is checked for a full slate of diseases per FDA guidelines. The amniotic material has been used over 60,000 times in the US with no adverse events reported. It acts as an immunologically privileged material, meaning it has NOT been shown to cause any rejection reaction in the body. This means there is no graft versus host problem.

What types of Medical Conditions are treated with Amniotic Cell Therapy?

Conditions that involve back, joint, and nerve pain are often excellent candidates for this therapy.

Here is a partial list of the conditions Amniotic Cell Therapy helps considerably:

  • Golfer’s elbow
  • Shoulder tendinitis and Rotator Cuff Injury
  • Joint arthritis – hip, spine, knee, ankle, SI joint, elbow, wrist

  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Bursitis
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Muscle tear
Because of their immense effects in treating conditions related to back, joint, or ligament damage and pain, Regenerative Cell Therapy is frequently used in treating athletes and quite a few have already used this therapy to speed up the healing processes in their bodies, so they could get back to playing at a very high level.

What are the benefits of Regenerative Cell Therapy?

Fast Acting Relief

Most patients experience relief from their pain after one treatment of Amniotic Cell Therapy, and feel continuing relief as the body works to heal itself.

Long Lasting Healing

Amniotic Cell Therapy brings powerful healing cells to the damaged or injured area. Then the cells start to multiply, bringing you healing that continues long after the treatment.

What to expect from Amniotic Cell Therapy?

As natural anti-inflammatories, these cells act similarly to cortisone and steroid injections, but without the associated risks and side effects.

Additionally, Amniotic Cell Therapy contains hyaluronic acid which act as a lubricant for worn and damaged joints while encouraging new, healthy cartilage tissue growth.

Most importantly, the treatment has been proven exceptionally safe.

The end result is reduced or eliminated pain, healthier joint tissue, increased mobility, and the ability to once again engage in all of your favorites activities; vibrant, healthy, and pain-free!
